Which blush shade is best for me?
Blush isn't a one-size-fits-all product. Start by giving your cheeks a gentle pinch to see your natural flush and choose a shade that looks closest to that. If you’re still not sure, here are some tips for finding your best shade:- Pale, fair skin - look for a light pink shade to give your cheeks a subtle flush of colour.
- Light-medium skin - a peachy pink blush will give your skin a nice glow.
- Olive skin tones - try a punchier shade of pink for some added radiance.
- Darker skin tones - warm, bright blushes will work beautifully with your skin.
How do I apply my blush?
Where and how you apply your blush depends largely on your face shape. When applied correctly, blush should accent certain areas of your face so you’ll need to take your bone structure into account before reaching for your brush.-
Square Face
To help define your cheekbones, focus on the apples of your cheeks. Apply your blush slightly below the cheekbone and then blend outward for a soft look. -
Round Face
Help give your face a more angular look by sweeping your blush from the ear down the cheekbone towards the mouth. Adding a little touch of blush to the chin and blending it well can help make your face appear longer. -
Oval Face
Sweep your blush over your cheekbones. Aim to place the colour just above the bone rather than towards the hollow beneath it to help raise the height of your cheekbone. -
Long Face
Apply your blush to your cheekbones, below the outer corners of your eyes. Be sure the blush never extends lower than the tip of the nose and blend well in a slight semicircle or a straight line to make your face appear shorter.
