Meet Rini at Clean North Sulawesi Raised on Bangka Island in Indonesia’s Coral Triangle, Rini watched plastic replace fish in her family’s nets. Refusing to accept this future, she began diving to collect ocean waste herself. Today, through local partner NoTrashTriangleInitiative, she earns an income protecting the reefs that shaped her childhood, funding her education, and inspiring the next generation of young women to rise with purpose.
Meet Dr. Fauziah Rochman at Clean Jepara After 17 years abroad, Fauziah returned home to find her hometown overwhelmed by plastic pollution. Investing her own savings, £100,000, she built a zero-waste facility that not only reduces environmental harm but provides meaningful employment, particularly for women, while educating thousands of students each month to see waste as a resource, not a burden.
Meet Rupali at Clean Goa Previously a full-time housewife, she joined local partner VRecycle in 2020 to build financial independence and expand her opportunities. Through dedication and leadership, she advanced to Operations Manager, now overseeing the facility and helping to build a more sustainable future for her community.
